Who’s coming, going in Utah college basketball through the transfer portal?

SALT LAKE CITY — Jon Rothstein sleeps in May, but the NCAA transfer portal is just getting started.

The portal opened following the regular season, and more than 1,300 men’s basketball players (including walk-ons) have already submitted their names to find another destination.

The number is almost as large for women’s basketball players — and then some, dating back to former Miami guard Haley Cavinder, who committed to TCU during the season.

Players are not bound to leave upon entering the transfer portal, but coaches are neither bound to retain their scholarship upon entry.

There’s no shortage of Utah college basketball talent to be had, either. Here’s a list of men’s and women’s basketball players from in-state schools who have declared for #TransferSZN.

All listings are via Verbal Commits unless otherwise noted.
