ATP Munich Day 3 Predictions Including Alexander Zverev vs Jurij Rodionov

There are four round of 16 matches on day 3 at ATP Munich, with two of those matches featuring a home German player including top seed Alexander Zverev. Here is your look at all the action.

Alexander Zverev vs Jurij Rodionov

Rodionov has already reached a career high ranking of #87 this season, he cruised in the opening round against Vukic and already has a challenger title this season. Playing Zverev is a step up though, at 19-8 on the season there is little to suggest that the top seeded German is going to be bothered by his Austrian counterpart. Rudolf Molleker vs Jack Draper

Molleker has found some success on the ATP Challenger Tour lately but competing at the ATP Tour level has been a bridge too far, he did finally win a tour level match as a wild card when he won his round 1 contest. Draper needed three sets to get out of the first round and is 10-8 on the season with one ATP final already. Draper is not a strong player on clay, but he’s the better tennis player, I do think he will find a way to win despite the surface. Draper in 3

Taylor Fritz vs Alejandro Moro Canas

12-7 on the year with one ATP title (Delray) is a respectable start for Fritz but not world beating. His best results come on hard courts and he’s struggled to be consistent on clay as a top player. Canas is riding high, he upset Dominic Thiem after qualifying for his first ever ATP main draw victory. He was 23-19 on the Challenger Tour last year and is a fresh name on tour. Fritz should have enough in his arsenal to figure things out, but the win against Thiem will buoy Canas. Fritz in 3

Alex Michelsen vs Cristian Garin

At 7-9 on the year Garin continues his trend of being average, his best results in his career have always been on clay but he hasn’t reached a tournament final since 2021. Michelsen is at a career high of 70 as a teenager, he’s already 16-18 at the ATP Tour level, and had 33 Challenger Tour wins last year. He would crush Garin on any surface but clay, but clay is where Garin excels and Michelsen lacks experience. The American looks too good to lose though. Michelsen in 2
