Scottie Scheffler unveils mouth-watering menu for annual Masters Club dinner

Defending Masters champion Scottie Scheffler has announced the menu for the traditional Masters Club dinner, and it includes meat, fish, and a classic dessert.

Scheffler revealed his choices during a video call on Wednesday ahead of the tournament, which will take place at Augusta National from April 6 to 9.

The Texas-born golfer will serve steak and cheeseburger sliders as the main course, accompanied by family-style side dishes that include macaroni and cheese, Jalapeno creamed corn, fried Brussels sprouts, and seasoned fries.

For those who prefer fish, Scheffler will offer a Texas redfish as an alternative to the meat dishes.

And for dessert, Scheffler has opted for a classic: chocolate chip cookies and ice cream.

The official menu will also include appetizers of firecracker shrimp and tortilla soup, which will be served before the main course.

Tradition and camaraderie at heart of Masters Club dinner

The Masters Club dinner dates back to 1952, when Ben Hogan first suggested that all Masters champions should gather for a celebratory dinner. The only other person present is the club chairman, who is invited by the winners.

Previous menus have included sushi (chosen by Hideki Matsuyama), Moreton Bay Bugs (Adam Scott‘s choice), and Sockeye Salmon Tartare (selected by Mike Weir).

Scheffler, who won his first PGA Tour title at last year’s Bermuda Championship, will be looking to defend his Masters title when the tournament gets underway next month.
