University of Kentucky to hold annual basketball scrimmage at NKU

The college basketball season is right around the corner and programs across the country are sharpening their skills against their teammates before taking the action to opposing squads.One of the more historic scrimmages in the country, the University of Kentucky’s annual Blue-White Game, is coming to Northern Kentucky’s Truist Arena.The game will serve as a benefit for Team Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief Fund and the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund, with all ticket revenue going to both relief efforts.Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, with prices ranging from $10-$25.For those unable to attend the game, it’ll be broadcast digitally on SEC Network+.This is the second-straight year UK has taken its annual scrimmage on the road: Last year, the team played at Appalachian Wireless Arena in Pikeville, Kentucky and raised $162,450 for victim’s of last year’s devastating flooding.In addition to the scrimmage, over $2 million was raised in August 2022 for Eastern Kentucky flood relief with an open practice and telethon at Rupp Arena.For more information on UK’s trip to Truist Arena, including parking information and Truist’s clear-bag guidelines, click here.
