Trine wins the 2024 DIII men’s basketball championship

Trine defeated Hampden-Sydney, 69-61 to win the 2024 NCAA Division III men’s basketball championship. The Thunder finished the season 29-4 to earn their first Division III title.

NCAA DIII men’s basketball championship history

Beginning in 1975, the DIII men’s basketball tournament has been held every year except for 2020 and 2021, seasons that were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. North Park currently has the most championships with five, while Wisconsin-Platteville, Wisconsin-Whitewater and Wisconsin-Stevens Point each have four.
