Manchester United are now exactly a week away from returning to Premier League action, meaning full focus is now on next Saturday’s trip to the Gtech Community Stadium to face Brentford.

United signed off for the international break in dramatic fashion last Sunday, beating Liverpool 4-3 in an epic FA Cup quarter-final at Old Trafford. Amad stepped off the bench to score a 121st-minute winner in extra-time.




As a reward, United will face Coventry City in the semi-finals at Wembley. It was announced on Friday the two sides will meet on Sunday, April 21, kicking-off at 3.30pm.


Speaking of Wembley, United youngster Kobbie Mainoo could make his England debut this evening (Saturday). The Three Lions host Brazil in an international friendly at Wembley.

Ahead of the contest, England boss Gareth Southgate has dismissed speculation linking him with the United job, describing it as ‘disrespectful’ towards Erik ten Hag. It was reported during the week that Sir Jim Ratcliffe has installed Southgate as his ‘No.1 target’ to replace the Dutchman.

United confirm new date for Blades fixture

United have announced their Premier League clash with Sheffield United at Old Trafford has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 24, kick-off 8pm.

The two sides were due to meet last weekend but the contest was postponed due to United’s progression to the FA Cup quarter-finals.

It has been confirmed that the rearranged clash with the Blades will not be televised in the UK.

Juventus ‘interested’ in Greenwood

According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited by Get Italian Football News, Juventus are ‘interested’ in signing United forward Mason Greenwood.

Greenwood is currently on loan at Spanish club Getafe and has been attracting interest from several clubs as the season has developed. Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have both been strongly linked with his signature.

However, it is claimed that Juventus have been ‘keeping tabs’ on his situation over the ‘last few months’.

He has made 27 appearances for Getafe this term, scoring eight goals.

According to a report by FootballTransfers, United will have to pay ‘considerably more’ than £40million if they are to land João Gomes from Wolves in this forthcoming summer’s transfer window.
