Live55 updates

  • Meanwhile, Baylor and USC have tipped and the Bears have an early 7-2 lead.

  • Final: Iowa 89, Colorado 68

The Hawkeyes had no trouble in this one and will advance to play LSU in a rematch of last year’s national championship. Caitlin Clark led Iowa (who else?) with 29 points, 15 assists and 6 rebounds in the win.

  • That’s a wrap. It’s a national title game rematch between LSU and Iowa in the Elite Eight. Winner moves on to the Final Four. The title game drew a women’s basketball record 9.9 million viewers in the Sunday afternoon slot on ABC. This game will be Monday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.

  • End of 3rd: Iowa 68, Colorado 47

Caitlin Clark (25 points, 12 assists) and the Hawkeyes have just about wrapped this one up.

  • Caitlin Clark is feeling it from 3 now, which might be what actually puts an end to this game with a full quarter remaining (a lot of us were in Nebraska when they blew a huge lead, OK?). She hits two quick ones and she’s heat-checked on the third.

  • Colorado on one of its best runs of the day, scoring 5 straight to cut the Iowa lead to 58-45.

Buffs have finally strung together a few stops on defense. Jaylyn Sherrod (9 points) has keyed the run.

  • Caitlin Clark drive, tipped pass, another layup and Iowa’s lead is 58-40. Her brothers stood and motioned for the crowd to get loud ofter the last

  • Iowa puts up an immediate 6 points to start the 2nd half and the lead has ballooned to 19 points.

    Danger zone for Colorado.

  • Again, Sydney Affolter is so important to Iowa. She rarely eclipsed double-digit points over her career with Iowa, but the junior has hit double digits in five of the six postseason games, including this one. She’s up to 10 points on a perfect 4 of 4 day. Her career high is 18 set during the Big Ten tournament this month.
